Former All Black Pita Gus Sowakula has switched international allegiance to Fiji, joining their squad for the 2025 Autumn Nations Series. Meanwhile, Richie Mo'unga, another All Black, has signed an 18-month deal with New Zealand Rugby, ruling out a potential switch to Tonga. Mo'unga, a fly-half, is set to return from Japan in 2026 and compete for an All Blacks place ahead of the World Cup in Australia. His agent confirms that Mo'unga is committed to playing for the ABs in the Rugby World Cup, despite earlier interest from Tonga.
