This wasn’t just a display of books; it was a celebration of Kazakhstan’s modern literary trends, emerging authors, and its growing potential for global cultural collaboration. And this is the part most people miss: the event wasn’t just about showcasing literature—it was about building bridges. Over 30 representatives from Kazakhstan’s leading publishing houses were present, engaging with industry leaders from Azerbaijan, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom. These interactions sparked discussions about joint projects, hinting at a future where Kazakh literature becomes a global conversation.
On the opening day, the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Frankfurt visited the national stand, offering a powerful show of support for the delegation. Meanwhile, the fair also featured Myrzhakyp Dulatov’s classic novel “Baqytsyz Zhamal” (“Unhappy Zhamal”), a poignant tale of the Kazakh people’s resilience and moral values.
