UT2004 Extreme is a total conversion that will bring the whole ut2004 gameplay into the UT engine.
At this moment, these maps exist for these gametypes.
Deathmatch,TeamDeathmatch,Tallyho! Invasion:
2k4-Rankin
2k4-1on1-Spirit
2k4-1on1-Roughinery
2k4-1on1-Trite
2k4-GrendalKeep
2k4-Osiris
2k4-Ironic
2k4-Gael
ArenaMaster, TeamArenaMaster:
TAM-1on1-Alzonia
TAM-Rankin
TAM-Goose2k4
TAM-Under_Le
TAM-GrendalKeep
Vehicle CTF:
VCTF-Torlan
Onslaught 1.25:
ONS-Torlan
Beta Domination
DOM-Rankin
Double Domination
DDOM-Gael
Capture the flag:
CTF2-Face
CTF2-GrendalKeep
There are 41 converted UT2004 Models (default skins) and the Famous DEMOGUY has been invited.
My plans with this mod is to bring a whole new experience to UT. Like Killing Grounds, Tactical Ops, Godz and Defense alliance, the mod change gameplay totally, change all weapons, and have new maps.
One aim for the mod is to make it look like UT2004's Engine is some particle way, though it is Unreal Engine 1, Iwill make fake effects to make it seem like some enhancements have been made to the engine, such as contrast and Gamma.
The mod will rely on Unreal Tournament SDK or more ideas such as staticmeshes or to use its rendering and if the vehicle classes are superior to mine the vehicle classes, and use its ragdoll physics.
It will be the biggest ever mod for Unreal Tournament, and plan to not release it unless there is large audience who will inhabit the mod and allow it to flourish.
I am definately using it as a replacement for UT for those who are into new things but have no money to buy them.
Another plan is for my own personal satisfaction and learning more of gaming industry, by creating something great and trying to improve and create a community out of something, and increase in knowledge.

sounds awsome would love to see this for UT3 i hope one day someone will make a mutator that allows ut2k4 movements in UT3.
what kind of mod is this? does it allow players without the mod to play with players that have the mod installed? or is it a stand alone mod like red orchesta?
(im not really into the mods so i dont know) i only think it ruins the game if all people play diffrent mods seperating the online community, thats why i LOVE mutators,
you can just download the damn thing in a few seconds while connecting to a server and you keep online community together.
---edit-----
whooo pretty good!! i watched the movie.
well i hope its nor really unlimited dodging thats exactly why UT99 players dont playe ut2k4
Looks nice men has somehow a hardcore feeling, more then ut2k4
i really love this kind of mods

Its more hardcore when you see it in person.
I am still a ut99 player, but all the other UT's keep making ut99 a mod for them. Theres always convert ut99 weapons to UT3, or UT99 on ut2004. Now I will show the world that all games must be under UT's feet, this mod is ut2004 in ut's feet, and UT2004 will cry to the pain of being more awesome under UT's feet.
No you can't play on its servers without having the mod because everything is rewriting and seperated in different folders so that they won't clash with ut files, and because its over 500 megabytes.

You can't expect someone to vote that they will willingly accept, play and support a mod/TC that they've never played.
Either you build it, support the fan base you do happen to create, and improve upon it or you don't.
If you do a good job, of course it will create a nice community; it just depends on how much you actually support the work you do and improve upon it.

I haven't voted yet, as I don't know what to reply - I don't like UT 2004 much (I *really* prefer UT 99) but I might like the mod (and so play it a lot) or I might not, it depends what you port, how it plays, and how it compares to UT 99 without your mod.
To be honest, I'd have to question the logic of making a UT 2004 mod for UT 99. After all, UT2004 is available to buy very cheaply now, and will run on just about any PC still used for games, so surely most people, if they wanted to play UT 2004, would just load up UT 2004. I'm certainly not trying to be negative, I'm just saying that it seems to me that such a project would be a waste of your time and talent.
Then again, that's just my opinion. And after all, if you do add UT 2004's modes, weapons, etc, but keep the UT 99 "feel" then the mod could really be very good indeed. Just don't make it feel like UT 2004, please.

It will just kill framerate very badly even in machines that are higher than the minimum requirements of UT.
UT2k4 was well designed for its specifics and porting it to a lesser engine like UT will give a very bad framerate because it wasnt designed like the UT2k4 engine. I dunno if you've figured that out or not but don't expect people get all excited about this when they can just play the real thing.

Same here. I can't afford a PC that runs UT3, but I'm not bothered, as I think that UT99 is much better anyway. I can run UT2004, except that large maps slow down too much, and I won't even bother with UT2003 as it's so inferior to UT99 (I think so).
UT99 has superb mods, not only from BC (who makes fantastic mods), but also other, older mods, such as the Perfect Dark mod by Mr Bond, Soul Harvest, and Weapons Factory.
BC, even if I don't end up liking or playing your new mod, I still look forward to trying it. And if it retains the feel of UT99, whilst adding UT2004's additions then I will play it

What I have in gameplay at this moment video
http://www.moddb.com/mods/ut2004-models-v2-extreme/videos/gameplay-at-this-moment
UT2004 Extreme Single player only!
http://www.moddb.com/mods/ut2004-models-v2-extreme/downloads/ut2004-extreme-03-no-multiplayer
I basicly sent out the whole of what I have so far but disabled multiplayer support due to bugs and netcodes not finished.
You'll get everything I have done, all the models and weapons and maps finished (though some may have errors).
I hope you have fun and if you got any problems please speak it isn't a finished mod!

Looking good and looking forward to the complete mod. Even though I had some problems with UT Onslaught, from the video this look pretty good and of a very good quality.

I just total enjoy making mods on this Engine. One reason why is because since its a older engine, when I do stuff on it that wouldn't have been done in its time I just look and say oh look its looks wonderful on that old engine unlike newer engines where yah some work is involved but the engine also helps in effects and additions that make it easier than its older counterpart.
Long live Unreal Engine 1, and why does Unreal Engine 2.5 get to still have a audience and people modifying it, I think a modified version of Unreal Engine 1 for a this gen game would look the best.

BC, I have a problem. See, I've downloaded and installed the UT2004 Extreme Single player only! mod, (I don't like UT2004, but your mods are great so I thought I'd try it), but I can't play it. Every time I try to start it it asks for the CD, and I'd put the CD away years ago. Anyway, I dug out the CD and inserted it, and the mod still keeps on asking for the CD, whatever I do. And yes, it's the right CD and the CD does work by itself, it's just that your mod doesn't recognise the CD.
I have the two disc Infogrames Complete Version (yes, it's an original), but your mod doesn't recognise it as an original. How can I fix this, or preferably disable the CD check at all (my installation of UT doesn't need the CD, the same with all of the few PC games I have - I'm a console gamer at heart).
Help!

Are you speaking of the UT Antalogy? Because ut1 does not even have any cd check ...

No, it's a UT only box and CDs. UT on my laptop does not require a CD present to play, but when I try to load BC's mod, listed as:
"UT2004 Extreme Single player only!"
a few posts above, then it asks for a CD, and will not start without it, but my UT CD is not accepted by it.
